Code Hero ??***Compiling code and programming games isn't that hard. In fact, now its a game. The player is a rockstar programmer in this 1st-person shooter that has the player collecting, changing, writing, and compiling code to load into code guns to fire at targets. When it hits, it executes. Fire the right code at the right enemy to have the desired effect. Tweak the code and recompile to improve the effect. This is first and foremost an action game. But secondarily, the player will learn to hack, alter and compile code as complicated as the Linux kernel, and even create code from scratch. Languages used and taught begin with Javascript. Java, C/C++, Pascal, and even Assembly Language are used later in the game. The code produced by the player is not limited to in-game functionality. It is real code that really compiles and can be used in the real world. All the compiling and executing is done on a real operation system using a VMWARE virtual machine.

The Linux version runs via the Unity3D engine running on Google Native Client (gNaCl).
